Getting back in the groove

I really enjoyed this week. So many of you mentioned to me that you enjoy reading the details of my life, so I will share some of them with you.  Several of the things I did revolved around the Precepts Bible Study that I am involved in.  On Monday, I had “coffee” with 2 ladies that I had just met the week before at bible study. We had a very interesting conversation- I truly believe that it was a God appointment.  Without getting into too many details, I will tell you that the bible study is on Obadiah and Joel- 2 minor prophets that foretell, describe and warn of the “day of the Lord”.  The books are very scary for those who do not understand grace and what Christ did on the cross. On Tuesday, Ronnie and I  got up early and he frosted my hair before he left for High Point to work at 7am. He does the best job- he is so gentle with that crochet hook!  Then, Wednesday, I went to bible study and enjoyed a great time of fellowship and discussion. I have met so many wonderful new friends and am blessed!  On Thursday, I got up at around 5:00am and was unable to get back to sleep so I went to Harris Teeter and bought chickens because they were on sale for $.49 per pound. I came home and stewed them and made 4 large chicken pies and several chocolate eclair cakes to share with some people who have blessed me so much lately.  Friday, I went to Kathleen’s bible study lecture on Joshua.  That girl is so gifted!!! She uses such great illustrations and is able to pull out so many wonderful applications.  I truly miss her teaching.  I also got to see about 25 of my “old” friends that I had not seen in a year.  Many of them have not seen me since my surgery and their reactions made me realize that my body has been through some changes.  That was fun!  From there, I went to lunch with Susan and Kelli and we tried out the new Chipotle Grill at the corner of Kildaire Farms Rd. and Wrenn Drive.  It was delicious  and we saw so many people we knew while we were there. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside on the patio in the sun.  We talked and laughed for over 2 hours.  This morning, Ronnie and I were laying (lying?) in bed, discussing what we wanted to do today. We thought about the RV show at the fairgrounds, or the flea market, or going to the Hobby Lobby in Asheboro, or working in the yard, etc.  We finally decided that Ronnie should paint our bedroom- including our ceiling….so he got busy moving furniture, caulking, priming and painting. I ran up to Ace and picked out the paint color- a beautiful “celery green” type color. I love it!!! He wouldn’t let me help him paint because my hernia and my bad right shoulder so I got busy and made a nice batch of Raisin Oatmeal cookies and a big pan of Pepper Steak.  I also finished up my bible study for the week.  Jeff and Lyndsey are coming over to hang out tonight. Jeff just went to pick her up- he just got back from a fishing trip to Carolina Beach with Jeff Liberto and Billy.

I will be going to Greensboro on Monday, will have lunch with Billie Jo,one of my most favorite and longest friends( she is not long -don’t think basset hound- but we have been friends for about 26 years),  then, I have bible study on Wednesday at Meg’s, a Pampered Chef party and lunch on Thursday at Sydney’s house (Valentine’s Day too), and then Kathleen’s Bible Study on Friday.  Sometime in there, I am going to the movies with Susan and Kelli.  I also want to have dinner with Fred and Diane (Katie’s mother and father in law) sometime- maybe next Sunday.

Okay, that’s it!  Have a great week.
